At the 34th UN-Water meeting of 2021, the UN members and partners decided to launch the theme “Accelerating Change” for the 2023 World Water Day Celebration. The theme Accelerating Change is about speeding up the world’s progress in solving the water and sanitation crisis. As water is one of the most significant. factors in life, the world committed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.  In participation, the SCWD GAD committee conducted various activities in accordance with the theme’s objective and concerns.

In line with the 2023 World Water Day, the SCWD GAD committee and employees took action in cleaning the bay side of Brgy. Santo Angel Norte, Santa Cruz, Laguna last March 2023 to promote a green environment and a high level of concern and knowledge on sustainable ways to preserve water resources and watersheds.
