LWUA Training Division: Gender and Development.
The Santa Cruz (Laguna) Water District (SWCD) attended the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) training for Gender and Development to learn and implement the programs of GAD for the benefit of the community.

Upon Attending the LWUA training for GAD, SCWD acquired the knowledge and goals of the program to pursue women empowerment and gender equality on the premises of Santa Cruz Laguna.
The Philippine Commission on Women defined Gender and Development as the development perspective and process that is participatory and empowering, equitable, sustainable, free from violence, respectful of human rights, supportive of self-determination, and actualization of human potential.

GAD Focal Point System
Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) is part of the water district’s organization that solely focus on GAD. GFPS is the unit within SCWD that oversees programs and projects that are systematically planned for the benefit of the community without gender bias.
